Buffalo Trace Distillery
A pitch for creating a new digital presence for Buffalo trace distillery Kentucky, one of the oldest Bourbon distilleries in the US. We wanted to create a interactive experience for Buffalo Trace, with focus on their experimental distillery "Warehouse X", and give international Bourbon fans a chance to explore the beautiful grounds surrounding this historical site. We also wanted to create a way for the Bourbon consumer to learn more about not
only Buffalo Trace but about how well the client stacks up to its competitors, thus the Bourbon Reader came to life. The Bourbon reader is were the consumer can find product ratings and information about production processes among the worlds Bourbon distilleries.
My task was to provide all the visuals for the concept, be part of creating the market strategy.
The image to the left is the first photograph ever taken at the Kentucky distillery grounds in 1792, the house in the background still stands to this day. In order to make history come alive, I chose to colorize this historical photo.
